Head and neck cancer (HNC) is a group of cancers that starts in the mouth, nose, throat, larynx, sinuses, or salivary glands. Subtypes of HNC include: laryngeal cancer, hypopharyngeal cancer, nasal cavity cancer, paranasal sinus cancer, nasopharyngeal cancer, oral cancer, oropharyngeal cancer and salivary gland cancer. HNC is a cancer that affects the gastrointestinal system.
