Manage a PAN grant using our portals

With our self-service online patient portal, you can manage your PAN Foundation grant anytime, day or night. If you’re a healthcare provider or pharmacy professional, you can use your portal to manage grants on behalf of your patients.

How can I use my online PAN portal to manage a PAN grant?

You can log into your PAN portal 24/7 to:

  • Apply for and renew grants for yourself or your patients
  • Check information like grant balances, eligibility dates, and medication coverage 
  • Update contact information for you or your patients
  • Ask for a replacement PAN ID card
  • Sign up for your closed disease fund’s wait list to be notified when it opens
  • Get referrals to other patient financial assistance programs
  • Connect with education and support services

How do I file a claim to PAN to get paid back for treatment costs?

You, your healthcare provider, or your pharmacist can file a claim for reimbursement. 

How do I keep my PAN grant active?

To keep your PAN grant active, you, your provider, or your pharmacist must file a claim and receive payment within 120 days of:

  • The date you’re approved for the grant, and
  • Each prior claim throughout your eligibility period

If you don’t follow this claim schedule

We’ll need to cancel your grant and release the funds. We do this to make sure that we’re making the most of our donations. Our goal is to help as many people who are actively receiving treatment and need financial assistance as we can.

What if I use my entire grant during my eligibility period, but I still need assistance?

You may be able to apply for a second grant. This depends on the rules of your assistance program and whether there’s funding available.

How can I get the most out of my PAN grant?  

If you currently have a PAN grant, you may be eligible to receive additional benefits.  

Transportation assistance  

Do you struggle with finding or affording transportation to get to your doctor or pharmacy? We offer a transportation benefit for people with an existing PAN co-pay or premium grant. 

If eligible, you will get a $500 pre-paid debit card for transportation-related costs to visit your doctor’s office or pick up your prescriptions.  

Personalized support with the federal Extra Help application  

If you qualify for the Social Security Administration’s Extra Help program, you could save around $5,000 per year on your Medicare drug plan costs, including co-pays, monthly premiums, and annual deductibles. 

The Extra Help application is available on the Social Security Administration’s website, but you don’t have to apply alone. If you currently have a PAN grant, you may be eligible to receive free, one-on-one application support.

Note: You can receive PAN assistance and Extra Help at the same time and enrolling in Extra Help has no impact on your eligibility for a PAN grant.
