Although recent Medicare reforms included in the Inflation Reduction Act are a step in the right direction, many patients will continue to turn to charitable patient assistance foundations for help affording their out-of-pocket prescription costs. This article from Specialty Pharmacy Continuum highlights PAN’s recent panel session on continued patient need during Asembia’s AXS23 Summit.
PAN’s President and CEO, Kevin L. Hagan, is quoted in the article highlighting key findings from PAN’s recent national polling and the importance of keeping in mind a patient’s total cost of care when assessing their need for financial assistance.
“This is really important for us as a patient assistance community to keep the whole patient in mind,” said Hagan.
