GoodRx Health: How a patient advocacy group helped me afford my medication
Instead of the relaxing retirement most people dream of, Sue Greene was facing a costly battle for her health and quality of life. A website called FundFinder, powered by the PAN Foundation, changed her life by allowing her to sign up for real-time alerts for financial support opportunities.
She shared her story with GoodRx, from her rheumatoid arthritis diagnosis at 52 and her struggles to afford medication and groceries on a fixed income to the relief she found when FundFinder helped her find financial assistance.
“It’s the best tool out there, and you should use it as if your life depended on it, because it probably does,” she said.
Sue is a PAN grant recipient and a member of PAN’s Patient and Family Advisory Council.
