The PAN Foundation launches enhanced grant application system

March 4, 2024 (9am ET) update: The PAN Foundation’s grant services and contact center are now open! We are deeply grateful for your patience while we upgraded and perfected our new system to better serve you today, and many years into the future.

Our contact center is expecting higher than normal call volume this week. Our goal is to answer calls quickly, but also ensure that every person who calls is given the attention and service they need. We appreciate your continued patience so we can provide each caller with the level of customer service excellence they deserve.

Below, we have compiled a list of resources to help answer commonly asked questions and share key information with you this week. Users with portal accounts can manage grants, apply for new grants, renew grants, submit claims, and more online with our new system. We have also prepared resources for grant recipients and healthcare professionals with existing portal accounts, and for those who will be creating portal accounts for the first time.

If you already have a portal account:

  • Logging in: You should have received an email with instructions on how to access your online portal account from noreply@salesforce.com or donotreply@panfoundation.org.  If you cannot find this email, you can:
    • Check your spam or quarantine filter for an email from noreply@salesforce.com or donotreply@panfoundation.org or ask your company IT team to whitelist emails from donotreply@panfoundation.org.
    • Visit the new portal and update your password by selecting “Forgot your password?” This will allow you to reset your password and access your account.
  • If you are a healthcare professional, we have developed step-by-step instructions and tutorials on how to use the new portal. Visit our PAN portal webpage for resources on:
    • How to enroll a new patient in a disease fund
    • How to apply for a renewal grant or additional funding

If you are creating a portal account for the first time:

  • Healthcare professionals and patients who have an existing grant or are on the wait list can create a portal account in our updated system to better manage grants. In just a few minutes, you can have instant access to all grant details and avoid long wait times on the phone. You can learn how to create an account through our PAN portal webpage.

What you need to know this week while we are experiencing high call volume:

  • Enrolling in a new grant: You can continue to apply as needed for new grants, renewal grants, and additional funding either online or over the phone. You can learn more on our Applying for grants webpage.
  • Currently enrolled patients can continue using grants as usual. You can review our how to apply and manage grants webpage to learn more about specific grant questions.
  • To learn more about the PAN portal and how to complete actions in your account, review our PAN portal webpage.

First-time PAN grant recipients

  • We look forward to helping you access your treatment. You can visit our website to see a list of our available funds.
  • You can apply for assistance by calling us at 1-866-316-7263, Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. ET. Thank you for your patience while we are experiencing higher than normal call volume.

Again, we are incredibly thankful for your patience during this transition. Our new system—including our online portal and contact center—will be more user-friendly, meet the highest web accessibility standards, and provide a robust view of each patient’s grant information and ensure we can serve you to the best of our ability. We are excited to share it with you.
