1. What should I submit to verify my income? - Copy of your most recent 1040, 1040A, or 1040EZ Federal Tax Return
- Copy of Social Security or Social Security Disability Income Award Letter or copy of the check
- Copy of pension award letter
- Child support
- Alimony
2. I do not file taxes and only receive Social Security or Social Security Disability, what should I send in? - Copy of your Social Security or Social Security Disability Award Letter OR
- Copy of bank statement showing direct deposit of benefits OR
- Copy of your Social Security Check OR
- Copy of your SSA1099
- Also includes: Benefits for children under Social Security Disability
3. Another individual(s) live with me, do I have to send in their income? - If other individuals live in your household and contributes to the household expenses, their income must also be submitted.
4. My income has changed from the last time I filed taxes, what should I submit? - Indicate on the bottom of the first page of your application what has changed from the previous year
- Submit:
- W2s and any other supporting documents to allow us to calculate your income
- Three consecutive pay stubs to verify income from a new job
- Statement of salary from your employer on company letterhead
5. I am self employed and this is not reflective on my previous year federal tax return? - Submit three copies of checks made out to you since you have been self employed
- Records of any deposits or transactions
