Liz Eckert oversees PAN’s marketing, brand and communications strategy and leads the organization’s efforts to promote its mission and initiatives to stakeholders. Prior to joining the PAN Foundation, Liz managed brand reputation and communications strategies for several international nonprofits. She led the communications and knowledge management strategy for an international network of governmental leaders from over 30 countries at Results for Development to develop a body of knowledge around achieving universal health coverage.
Prior to that role, she managed marketing and communications to advance and convey the impact of global education and exchange programs for professionals at the American Councils for International Education. She previously worked in communications at the Institute for European Studies in Brussels, Belgium, a research institute focused on public policy in the fields of migration, energy and climate, and economics, where she developed communications strategies to disseminate research and support forums and events to engage policymakers.
Liz holds a master’s degree in Political Communication and Strategy from the University of Kent, Brussels School of International Studies and a bachelor’s degree in International Relations and Political Science from the State University of New York at Fredonia. She also serves on the Washington, D.C. chapter leadership of The Communications Network, an national network of nonprofit and foundation communications professionals.
