Jennifer Brown is Graphite Health’s Chief Administrative Officer and General Counsel, helping navigate the complex world of healthcare risk and compliance with an eye towards innovation. Graphite Health is a nonprofit company with a mission to establish a trusted digital health ecosystem, composed of an interoperable data platform and application marketplace, that will drive the advancement of healthcare for all patients.
Jennifer brings with her a wealth of legal and leadership experience in the not-for-profit, mission-based healthcare field. Prior to joining the Graphite team, Jennifer served as the chief legal officer at Baylor Scott & White Health, where she oversaw the system’s healthcare legal, compliance, and risk management efforts. During the COVID-19 pandemic, Jennifer also stepped in to serve as interim chief human resources officer at the system, providing critical administrative leadership and guidance.
Before joining Baylor Scott & White, Jennifer served as senior vice president and general counsel at Graphite member system Presbyterian Healthcare Services. Until 2014, Jennifer led Mercy Health as senior vice president and senior transaction counsel, where she handled transactional matters for the health system, including joint ventures, physician integration, and hospital acquisitions. She also served as a partner for law firm Kutak Rock’s healthcare practice group.
Before dipping her toes in the world of healthcare, Jennifer received her BA in political science and economics from Texas A&M University, and a JD from The University of Texas School of Law.
