PAN’s financial assistance featured in NerdWallet
With more than one in five adults aged 65 and older reporting not taking medication as prescribed due to cost, many Medicare Part D beneficiaries could use some financial assistance.
A recent article published by NerdWallet highlights three options that could help older adults afford their out-of-pocket prescription costs. The article highlights Medicare’s Extra Help program, Medicare Savings Programs, the new $2,000 Medicare Part D cap going into effect in 2025, and charitable assistance foundations, like the PAN Foundation. PAN’s Chief Mission Officer, Amy Niles, is also quoted in the article saying, “Far too many people don’t know that there are resources out there to help them.”
