Despite the recent Medicare reforms included in the Inflation Reduction Act, many patients will continue to face affordability challenges and will turn to PAN’s charitable assistance programs for support. During the recent Reuter’s Pharma USA 2023 event in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, PAN’s President and CEO, Kevin L. Hagan, presented a session titled “Post-Inflation Reduction Act: The continued need for patient assistance.” Following his session, Hagan sat down with PharmExec’s Lisa Henderson to talk about the impact these reforms will have on PAN and its programs.
“If funding remains the same for [PAN’s] programs, it’s going to allow more patients to be helped because we’ll have to provide less assistance [per patient] to hit that $2,000 cap,” he said.
