The PAN Foundation welcomes new Chief Growth Officer André D. Harrell

The PAN Foundation is excited to announce that André D. Harrell has joined its leadership team as Chief Growth Officer.
Harrell brings several decades of experience leading successful revenue and business development initiatives, strategic market entries, and partnership strategies in the healthcare corporate and nonprofit sectors. As PAN’s Chief Growth Officer, Harrell will oversee the organization’s revenue and business development initiatives and develop strategic relationships to support the organization’s mission of expanding patient access and removing barriers to affordable healthcare.
“We are thrilled to welcome André to our team and have him at the helm of our development strategy,” said President and CEO Kevin L. Hagan. “With his extensive experience overseeing and leading business development strategies across the healthcare industry and nonprofit organizations, I’m confident that André will successfully lead the PAN Foundation’s growth initiatives and build strong relationships in service of strengthening our impact for patients and their families.”
Most recently, Harrell spent seven years as a commercial business advisor at McKinsey & Company, where he advised clients in the healthcare, consumer products, and chemical industries and developed strategies around venture capital, portfolio management, pricing and more. In 2013, Harrell opened his own consulting practice, AH2 Management, where he advised clients in the biotech and pharmaceutical space on strategic partnerships, investor fundraising strategies, and commercial operations.
Prior to his consulting work and tenure at McKinsey & Company, Harrell served as chief commercial officer at Norbrook, a veterinary pharmaceutical company based in Ireland, where he led a 250- member global team across 12 countries and built best-in-class business strategies that increased market share and revenue for the company.
Harrell started his career in the life sciences, medical devices, and biotech sectors with responsibilities in business development, marketing, sales and alliance management, and finance. He spent close to 20 years at Johnson & Johnson developing his commercial skill set and then also worked at Novo Nordisk, where he built and led its sales operations infrastructure.
“It is an honor to join the PAN Foundation and advance its important mission on behalf of patients,” said Harrell. “I could not think of a more impactful organization to which I could bring the culminated experience from my career. I look forward to helping the organization expand its impact on healthcare access and affordability.”
Harrell has long held a passion for the nonprofit sector and has served on the Board of Directors for multiple nonprofit organizations, including Big Brothers Big Sisters, ARTZ Philadelphia, Institute for Philanthropic Excellence, and SCORE Association.
Harrell holds a dual Bachelor of Applied Arts in marketing communication and philosophy from Central Michigan University.
