Information About the Disease

Bone metastases, or metastatic bone disease, is a class of cancer metastases that results from primary tumor invasion to bone. Cancer cells that have metastasized to the bone can damage the bone, which gives rise to symptoms. Various cancer treatments are available to control the symptoms and the spread of bone metastases or "bone mets". Bone metastases cause severe pain, characterized by a dull, constant ache with periodic spikes of incident pain
